BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, has made a significant investment in Securitize, a company it has been working with in the tokenization space. This move further demonstrates BlackRock’s commitment to tokenization and its belief in its potential to revolutionize the capital markets.

Securitize Raises $47 Million in New Funding

The $47 million funding round was led by BlackRock, with other participants including Hamilton Lane, ParaFi Capital, and TradeWeb Markets. This investment will allow Securitize to continue to develop its tokenization platform and expand its reach.

As part of the investment, Joseph Chalom, Head of Global Strategic Ecosystem Partnerships at BlackRock, will join Securitize’s board of directors. This highlights BlackRock’s commitment to the success of Securitize and its belief in the future of tokenization.

Chalom commented on the investment, saying, “At BlackRock, we believe that tokenization has the potential to revolutionize the capital markets infrastructure. Our investment in Securitize is a key part of our digital asset strategy and will help us to better meet the needs of our clients in the future.”
