Roblox Users Can Purchase In-Game Items with XRP!
According to BitPay’s announcement on October 17, Xsolla integrated BitPay’s XRP crypto payment processing system into the Pay Station platform.
Roblox, an online game platform with over 200 million active monthly users, has started offering the possibility to make in-game purchases with the XRP cryptocurrency. This new payment option was implemented as a result of collaboration between Roblox’s in-game payment processor Xsolla and crypto payment provider BitPay.
Los Angeles-based gaming company, Xsolla, enabled XRP as a payment option in their games by collaboration with BitPay.
Also this allows Xsolla customers to purchase in-game items for games like Roblox and Smitegame with XRP.
The addition of XRP expands BitPay’s crypto payment options to the top 16 digital currencies.

Xsolla, founded in 2005 and based in Los Angeles, is a company offering custom payment and trade solutions for video game developers and publishers. Additionally Xsolla manages in-game Roblox transactions on platforms like Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Xbox, and PlayStation.
Just in the first quarter of 2023, Roblox users spent almost $773 million on in-game purchases. The addition of XRP payments facilitates seamless interaction with crypto wallets for these purchases.
According to BitPay’s announcement on October 17, Xsolla integrated BitPay’s crypto payment processing system into the Pay Station platform. This integration enables a seamless connection between users’ crypto wallets and games.
The collaboration between Xsolla and BitPay dates back to when Xsolla began accepting Bitcoin payments through BitPay in 2014. Over the years, BitPay has expanded its crypto payment options and currently supports 16 different digital currencies.
In August 2023, following Ripple’s legal victory, BitPay began offering global support for XRP. This update allows BitPay wallet users to safely purchase, sell, and store XRP.
For Xsolla, this step is part of their effort to make cryptocurrencies a common payment method in the gaming industry. Also the company has collaborated with other crypto platforms like Coinchange Financial and Crypto.com to integrate NFTs and token transactions.
